Furniture for Generations

One of the most responsible things a furniture manufacturer can do is create furniture that can be used for decades, repaired, reupholstered and ultimately passed on to new generations. For us, this is a commitment we call “Furniture for generations”. We take this commitment seriously and build it on documented quality, durability, repairability and lasting value, making our furniture worth keeping and passing on.

We select the highest-quality materials and combine them with unique craftsmanship, ensuring that the furniture not only ages gracefully but also develops a beautiful patina over time. This helps ensure the longevity of our furniture – both structurally and aesthetically – while reducing the need for frequent replacement.

In our furniture production, we continue to be guided by the care and attention to detail that characterised the cabinetmakers of Finn Juhl’s time. We work with dedicated craftspeople and suppliers who share our values, and use only high-quality materials, including exclusively European oak and ash with FSC or PEFC certification, as well as American walnut sourced from suppliers who collaborate with the industry organisation American Hardwood Export Council (AHEC).

Thanks to solid materials, sublime craftsmanship and enduring design, Finn Juhl furniture is not discarded over time – on the contrary, it becomes a lasting collector’s item that retains its value and demand on the resale market. The long lifespan of our furniture therefore represents an important contribution in itself to a more responsible use of raw materials and natural resources.

Our entire production is shaped by conscious choices, where quality, care and respect for craftsmanship go hand in hand. It is essential to us that our furniture is not only built to last for many years and be passed down through generations, but is also produced in a way that we can stand behind.
