About the Butterfly Table

A Testament to Beauty

Designed in 1949, the three-legged and organically shaped coffee table is a very typical Finn Juhl design and stands as a testament to detailed beauty and craftsmanship. Opening the table involves lifting the hanging part and sliding the whole tabletop over the base into a central position where all sides have equal amounts of support from the three legs.

The very unconventional table looks deceptively delicate and is today produced in walnut, with a circular brass inlay.
