The Japanese Connection
Finn Juhl designed footrests for a few of his iconic furniture pieces, including the Japan Series.
The Japan Footstool is defined by its elegant frame which is visible from every angle and matches the Japan Sofa and Chair from the same series. The sublime simplicity of the footstool is a far cry from his earlier furniture designs and is inspired by traditional Japanese building techniques. The curvy shape radiates serene simplicity and is a reference to a traditional Japanese temple door.
